Solo mode pits you against an AI opponent. Debate With Friends pits you against an actual person — someone you know, arguing for real. One of you creates a room from any debate scenario, shares a link, and the other opens it and joins. No signup for either side. You both argue your case across 3 rounds, and after each round — once you've both submitted — an AI judges that round head-to-head and declares a winner with a verdict. Win the most rounds after round 3, win the match.
Create — pick or write a scenario, and ShouldaSaid generates a room with a shareable link.
Share the link — send it to the friend, partner, or roommate you're arguing with. They open it and join — no account needed.
Both argue — across 3 rounds, you each submit your best case for your side. Neither of you sees the other's argument until you've both submitted.
AI judges each round — once both arguments are in, the AI reads them head-to-head and calls a winner with a short verdict explaining why. After round 3, whoever won more rounds wins the match.
Solo mode is you against an AI opponent — good for practice any time, no one else needed. Debate With Friends flips that: there's no AI opponent this time, because you're arguing against a real person. The AI's only job is judging — reading both sides after each round and calling it fairly, the same way it scores solo debates. That's the whole difference: solo mode simulates an opponent, rooms simulate a judge.
Rooms are async — you don't both have to be online at the same time. Submit your round whenever you're ready; the AI judges as soon as both sides are in, and you'll see the result next time you check the room.
